Perpetual Prayer Novena

Perpetual Intercessory Prayer Novena

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers, against the directors of this world of darkness, against the rulers of darkness of this world, wickedness in high places.” Eph 6:12

“Through every kind of prayer and supplication, pray at all times…”Eph 6:18

Thank you for your interest in committing to pray for one hour in one or more of the Perpetual Intercessory Prayer Novenas. The purpose of this series of Novenas is to “pray at all times” Eph 6:18  that our deeply divided Nation turns back to God by having someone praying at each of the 24 hours of each day until at least January 22, 2020.

The concept is simple.  You sign up and pray at and for one specified hour for nine specified days.  For example, you sign up for the 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. time slot for the Novena beginning on January 14, 2021 and ending January 22, 2021.  Every day for those nine days you will pray for one hour starting @ 1:00 p.m. and ending at 2:00 p.m.  The intention of all of your prayers during this hour is that Our Nation Turns Back to God.

Other than saying Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Novena Prayer, the hour in prayer can be spent Reading Scripture, praying the rosary, praying the Divine Chaplet, Spiritual Reading, Meditation, etc.

For those of you who are called to participate in the Novena beginning January 14th and ending January 22nd, please e-mail the following information to Michelle Wing at

  • Name
  • Hour that you would like to pray
  • Cell phone number
  • E-mail address
  • Mailing Address

We do need either the 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm or 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm time slot filled so if you are able to commit to pray at one of those hours, it would be greatly appreciated.

Words cannot express how much this perpetual novena meant to me. It showed me the importance of a dedicated time for silence, reflection and prayer. It is amazing how calming it is. I will continue to strive to make this part of my daily routine, so that I may improve of my relationship with the Lord, for he knows all.   Lele Rooks

When I started praying the Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Novena back in November 2020, I was skeptical on how, through Mary’s intercession, this nation was going to turn back to God. I had so much anger and hatred in me just like those I was praying for.

As the weeks went by, I noticed a change in me. My hatred and anger
were gone! I guess that was God’s plan for me all along.

Please consider joining the Novena group. I promise you that God, through the intercession of our Blessed Mother, will fill your heart with so much joy. God bless all of you and your families.

My designated hour was 3-4 am.  I was sure to be awake and alert at least 15 minutes prior.  The hour began with the novena prayer. I followed with a prayerful reading of the days Mass readings.  After meditating on the readings I would do a scriptural rosary.  Of course coffee was a help and I was sure to kneel or sit.  It helps to have a good rosary app as well as the Laudate app where you can reference many prayers, chaplets etc.  I felt great peace as a result of participating.  I think many people are afraid they cannot pray for an hour but it’s really easy.  I just imagine I’m sitting in a room with Jesus or Mary and have found them to be great listeners.  J Russell Rooks MD

I am so thankful for having been a part of this continuous Novena Prayer for our Country . We, at St Richards , have been truly blessed with prayer Warriors giving sacrifice at this crucial time in the History of our U.S.A. We are praying so diligently ,God will surely ,we hope , consider our efforts. However, we must keep in mind as we pray and ask ; it is not our will, but His to be done . He has known from the beginning His plan for us all and our Country, but there is still our PERSEVERANCE IN PRAYER to be considered ! Thank you Lord  for your Grace to those who organized this for all of us and thank you Lord for blessing  The United States of America .   Marlene Cook

Our commitment to a specific hour of praying the novena for our nation has brought unexpected gifts to my husband Watts and me. We begin each day with prayer, and we are attending weekday masses more often. Our conversations are richer, and our closeness and love have a new freshness. The novena has been a sweet blessing. God‘s generosity is amazing. Martha Ueltschey

Before joining the perpetual prayer novena, I was praying for the nation in spurts, but not in a concentrated way, and certainly not for an extended time each day. The invitation to join a group and pray for our nation to turn back to God every day for an hour was a challenge, but I felt if there ever was a time our nation and its leaders needed prayer, this was it. I liked the emphasis on praying the rosary as Our Lady had requested a daily rosary for the conversion of sinners at Fatima.

As I have continued praying through several novenas, I have grown to love this hour of prayer. Our Lady has blessed me with a love for and confidence in the rosary that is deeper than I have ever known.  It’s a blessing to know that I’m “in the fight” along with my brothers and sisters in Christ. And even though we may not communicate with one another, I feel close in spirit with all those who are praying a novena hour with me.  I know Mary hears our prayer and is interceding in a powerful way with the One who is standing at the right hand of the Father. I know also that our heavenly Father is answering our prayers in a way that is touching hearts and blessing the Body of Christ far more than we can ask or imagine.  Steve Thomas *************************************************************************************
