St. Richard Elementary School

Pre-K3 thru 6th Grade

Saint Richard Catholic School serves students in grades Pre-K3 through the 6th grade by providing quality, faith-based instruction with a focus on the arts. The school is a mission of Saint Richard Catholic Church.

Through small class sizes and individualized instruction, Saint Richard educators empower students to excel academically, creatively, physically and spiritually while instilling integrity and the desire to serve others. Weekly school Mass, the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd religious education program and a year-round service learning program emphasize living the Gospel every day.

The Mississippi Arts Commission has recognized Saint Richard Catholic School annually as a Model School for the Whole Schools Initiative since 2008. In addition to the regular academic program, Saint Richard Catholic School offers a program for students with special needs; gifted students; and after school enrichment programs including art, choir, drama, dance and athletics.

Saint Richard Catholic School is dedicated to providing academic excellence for all students as well as instilling a reverence for God, a respect for all life, and a commitment to serve others in a safe, Catholic environment.

Founded in 1953, Saint Richard Catholic School is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and the Mississippi Department of Education. The school follows the Diocese of Jackson curriculum, which is based on state and national standards.
